Just Don't Call It Poverty

This political cartoon was specifically created to further prove Roger Pielke's argument that poverty is a relative term and is all related back to politics.
In most of the world, poverty is defined as lacking an income enough to stabilize someones life at a level of less than $1.25 a day.
Then in America, poverty is simply looked at as when someone is missing out on something that everyone else has. In this case, they have enough money for food like fast food, but they are just lacking a resource that everyone else may have. An example the artist gave was something like Internet access.
